1. Short version

We use essential storage (required for security + remembering your cookie choice). These are always on.
Optional functional/analytics storage is off by default and only used if you click “Accept All” or enable them in Customize.
We use no advertising / cross-site tracking cookies, no social-media pixels, and no sale of personal information.
You can change your mind anytime via Cookie Settings or your browser controls. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signals where required by U.S. state law.

2. What are cookies & similar tech?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use localStorage (similar storage in your browser) to remember your cookie choice (trinex_cookie_consent_v1) without a server. No technology on this site is used for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Third parties: Our form posts to FormSubmit.co only when you click Submit. FormSubmit may set/observe technically necessary data to deliver the email and prevent abuse (see their policy). We do not embed YouTube, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, or similar trackers. If that changes, we will update this table and seek consent first where required.

4. Legal basis in the U.S. (federal & state)

There is no single federal cookie-consent law, but the FTC Act requires honest, non-deceptive notices — hence this plain-English policy plus just-in-time banner.
State laws (CA, CO, CT, VA, UT, OR, TX, MT, and 2026 additions IN/KY/RI, plus others listed in our Privacy Policy) generally require: clear notice at/before collection, purpose limitation, consent for sensitive data, and honoring opt-out preference signals (often called Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms) for sale/sharing/targeted advertising.
We meet this by: (1) showing a banner on first visit with Accept / Reject / Customize of equal prominence; (2) keeping non-essential cookies off until opt-in consent; (3) treating GPC as an opt-out where required; (4) obtaining opt-in for any sensitive-data processing (we avoid collecting sensitive data); and (5) providing a persistent Cookie Settings link in the footer.
Minors: Consistent with COPPA and state minor protections, we do not use cookies to profile or target anyone under 18, and our form blocks under-18 submissions entirely (see Privacy Policy §2 and Terms §2).

5. Your choices

5.1 On-site controls (recommended)

Use the banner buttons: Accept All (essential + functional + analytics), Reject Non-Essential (essential only), or Customize → Save Preferences.
Reopen anytime: footer Cookie Settings link (or click here).
Your choice is stored locally as trinex_cookie_consent_v1 with date + categories. Clearing browser storage will reset the banner.

5.2 Browser controls

Block/delete cookies in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari settings. Blocking essential storage may affect form spam protection but reading pages will still work.
Use private/incognito mode to auto-clear on close.
Enable Global Privacy Control in a supported browser/extension to broadcast an opt-out; we honor it as described above (and keep non-essential categories off when GPC is detected and no prior consent exists).

5.3 Do Not Track

No uniform DNT standard exists; we prioritize GPC plus our explicit toggles, which are more reliable.

6. Data retention & security for cookie data

Consent records (choice + timestamp, not browsing history) are kept up to 36 months to prove compliance. Aggregated analytics (if ever enabled) would be retained ≤ 12 months in de-identified form. Essential security logs rotate on a rolling basis (~30 days to 12 months). See Privacy Policy §7–§8.

7. Changes & contact

We will post updates here with a new effective date and, for material changes (e.g., adding analytics), show the banner again to re-seek consent where required.
